THE GLIDER RIDE
Try to arrive 15 to 30 minutes early in order to go over our waiver and hang out at the airport. Our crew will pick you up at the ticket booth and bring you to the runway where they will get you seated and belted into the glider. They will connect the towline to the tow plane. Your pilot will perform pre-flight safety checks and when all is ready signal to the tow pilot. Tow plane and glider accelerate down the runway and into the air. The tow pilot will take the glider to areas of best lift, where upward currents of air help tow plane and glider climb. At about three thousand feet above the ground your pilot will usually ask you to do the honors. You'll pull the release knob and off you'll soar while the tow plane heads back to the airport. Your pilot will let you decide on different maneuvers you’d like to experience. If you are in the two-place, you’ll be allowed to take the controls for part of the flight and get a little stick time.
Flight times can vary due to wind and thermals but most flights last about twenty to thirty minutes. You’ll arrive back at the airport at about 1000 feet above the ground. Your pilot will then demonstrate the incredible accuracy with which these ships can be landed and maneuvered right back to the exact spot where they started.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Feel free to bring your still or video camera with you. You’ll be able to get some great shots from the air. Our well trained ground crew will make sure that you receive complimentary still pictures while boarding or disembarking from the glider. Those who make prior arrangements will receive a dramatic video of their entire flight. Our videos feature shots from cameras mounted on the glider as well as takeoffs and landings. They are scored to music and presented to you some thirty minutes after your flight.

WHEN THINGS GO WRONG
Like any outdoor activity, we are subject to the whims of the weather gods. We will not jeopardize the safety of our passengers so if winds or other weather is such that it presents any risk we will suspend operations. Our equipment is meticulously maintained to assure continuous safe operation. However, mechanical gremlins can raise their little heads and create issues that necessitate temporary delays in our flights. Should this happen we will re-schedule those whose flights are affected. We will not roll delays into the rest of the schedule as it creates a chain reaction that adversely affects a greater number of passengers. We appreciate your understanding.
